Stress seems to be an inevitable part of our daily lives. Between family worries, work emergencies, financial anxieties, and relationship woes, it sometimes feels as though we’re dashing from one moment to the next. Even with all of today’s time-saving devices that we can buy with the click of a mouse, we seem to have less time than ever before. The sense of anxiety and stress that modern life produces, unfortunately, is also a leading cause of death.

While no one is saying that perfumes alone, not even the most exquisite ones like Christina Aguilera perfume, will help alleviate your symptoms or cure your of your illnesses, doctors — even the most conservative ones– are admitting that scents in a room can impact one’s sense of well-being. Therefore, bringing scents proven to be stress-relieving can actually help you immensely. Today, there are many ways you can bring sent into your home. You can base in fragrant bath products. You can pay someone to massage essential oils mixed with carrier oil into your body. Bathing and massaging are relaxing in and of themselves, and can help alleviate stress related symptoms. However, candles are a very simple and inexpensive way that you can start feeling better immediately. Scented candles can infuse stress-busting scents such as chamomile, lavender, vetiver, neroli, marjoram, sandalwood, Clary sage, and patchouli into your home for hours, but they don’t require a lot of money or a lot of time. You may not be able to carve out an hour for a bubble bath, but you can certainly have soothing candles lit while you work.
